Napoli manager Antonio Conte has confirm that midfielder Scott McTominay is fit to feature for the team’s home clash with Roma in Serie A this weekend.
The Scotland international pick up the injury during the team’s 2-1 Nations League win over Poland earlier this week. And after a thorough examination by the club’s medical team has rule out an injury. He is set to be available for Sunday’s clash at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona.
Napoli doctors assessed him and ruled out an injury, so the ex-Manchester United midfielder will start against Roma on Sunday.
“Lukaku and McTominay trained and there are no problems,” Conte said during his pre-match press conference, according to Tutto Napoli.
“Olivera trained yesterday and today, and ยูฟ่าเบท we want to do another assessment tomorrow. We will assess the players who came back with a little problem, but there is still time to get rid of the fatigue.”
Conte was please that Roma appointed Claudio Ranieri but insisted that his players not “risk their lives” against the Giallorossi.
Napoli are still top of the table despite failing to win their last two games. With 26 points from 12 games, leading Atalanta, Fiorentina, Inter Milan and Lazio, who are all on 25 points each.
